With expanded platforms and new broadcast touchpoints, our news network now reaches more than 11 million Australians monthly, comprising 42% of the total national population.
This surge in audience has been driven by the power of Sky News Australia’s multi-platform content offering, delivering live breaking news, unrivalled political coverage, exclusive investigations, and diverse and wide-ranging opinions that appeal to a mainstream audience.
Our commitment to provide a broad range of perspectives on issues that impact all Australians fosters healthy and democratic debate. This year, we wanted to understand more about the motivations of Australians and how they navigate complex issues in a vastly more interconnected world.
In 2021, the Sky News Australia Audience Study revealed that our network enjoyed a significant and broad reaching audience across its many platforms – from linear broadcast and owned-and-operated websites, to social media and audio-only services.
Since then, our network’s platforms have expanded even further. We’ve introduced Sky News Now on Samsung TV Plus, Apple News content, relaunched our mobile and tablet app, and launched Sky News on news streaming service Flash.
The findings from Hoop Group prove that Sky News Australia’s audience reach has grown significantly over the last two years, now reaching more than 11 million unique Australians each month, representing 42% of the national population.
This year’s study has helped us understand more about the motivations of Australians in consuming their news as well as resonance of advertising and the propensity to purchase – which is increasing. We can also better quantify the benefit of integrated sponsorship investment, for our partners, across our growing multi-platform content offering, now reaching more than 11 million Australians.
