Sky News delivers record Q1 primetime ratings!

The Q1 2019 ratings results have delivered Sky News its highest primetime viewing on record with average audiences increasing by 6% year on year.

Primetime audience share also increased by 18% while All Day share increased by 9%.

Sky News held number one positions across key evening timeslots and continues to be a leading channel on subscription television, reaching 2.8 million Australians for the quarter on Foxtel alone.

The quarter saw Sky News deliver comprehensive LIVE coverage and analysis of the NSW Election and Federal Budget 2019. NSW Decides election night coverage (23 March) was the number one individual program for the quarter reaching 294,000 people, while Budget night coverage (2 April) saw audiences increase by 35% on last year.

Ahead of the Federal Election, the channel’s marquee political programs have also seen average audience growth with AM Agenda weekdays at 9.30am increasing by 6% while Speers on Sunday at 8am has increased by 14% year on year.

Paul Murray LIVE Sunday – Thursday at 9pm continues to be the number one nightly program on Foxtel. This quarter, audience has grown 11%, and is reaching on average 275, 000 people a week, as its regional Our Town and Pub Test broadcast initiatives continue around the country. Audiences to the program’s 10pm hour, PML Later, are up 7%.

Credlin weeknights at 6pm, continues to be the number one regular program in its timeslot, reaching on average 197,000 people a week.

The Bolt Report weeknights at 7pm, recorded its best first quarter on record with audience growth of 9% year on year. The Bolt Report is the number one regular program in its timeslot, reaching on average 239,000 people a week.

Kenny on Media Mondays at 8pm is up 5% while Kenny on Sunday at 7pm is up 78% compared with the same timeslots last year.

Jones & Co Tuesdays at 8pm has seen audience increase of 8% and is the number one program in its timeslot
